Helen is Greek-Cypriot, born in the UK, and her father came from the northern part of Cyprus which is now under Turkish occupation.
Doug is British and, until two years ago, had worked in the travel business for 40 years having had long spells with the Greek airline, Olympic Airways, and also with a Cypriot specialist tour operator packaging and selling holidays to Cyprus.
